Two Ministers Reviewed and Inaugurated Citra Maja Raya

Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono and Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi reviewed the progress of Kota Baru Maja development, as well as inaugurated Citra Maja Raya housing built by Ciputra Group in Lebak Regency, Banten, Saturday (18/11/2017).

Besides, Maja City will be supported by Rangkasbitung Water Treatment Installation (IPA). In the early stages will be built IPA with a capacity of 50 liters per second serving 4000 inhabitants. To meet the needs of raw water will be taken some of 2000 liters / sec Karian Dam supply for Lebak District which will be completed in 2019.

According to Minister Basuki, Maja is one of 10 new independent city projects that will be gradually developed by the government. New Maja City area is planned to accommodate up to 1.2 million people when completed.

Ten new cities / new urban areas that will be built by the government according to the RPJMN 2015-2019 namely Pontianak, Padang, Palembang, Tanjung Selor, Manado, Jayapura, Sorong, Makassar, Banjarbaru, and Maja.

As part of Kota Baru Maja Development Plan compiled by the Regional Infrastructure Development Board (BPIW) of the Ministry of PUPR, as many as 10 thousand housing units will be built in the Citra Maja Raya project. The amount has already accommodated 8,000 MBR dwelling units, plus 1,000 subsidized housing units with a housing financing liquidity facility (FLPP).
